Everest Base Camp Kala Patthar trek is probably the most famous trek in Nepal. AmaDablam, Pumori etc.
The Everest Base Camp trek leads to Kala Patthar a famous and spectacular viewpoint of Everest, the highest mountain on earth. From Kala Patthar you will have a 360 degrees view of awesome Himalayan Giants such as Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Thamserku, AmaDablam, Pumori etc

On the same day you'll be meeting your guide for the trek.
We will head towards the domestic airport and after 35 minutes flight we arrive at Lukla. Then our trekking starts to Monjo. It will take around 4-5hrs walk to reach Monjo. We will be able to see the first mountainous sights of the region i.e. Kusum Khangkaru (6367m).
Overnight stay at Monjo.
We travel to Namche Bazaar, following DudhKoshi which includes many bridges along the way. Then we arrive at the checkpoint and enter Sagarmatha National Park. Altogether it takes 6-7 hrs to reach Namche Bazaar from Phakding. On the way we will come across picturesque villages, rivers, forests, and amazing mountain views e.g. Mt. Thamserku (6608m), Mt. Everest (8848m). This will be the first view of Mt. Everest during our trek.
We head towards Everest View Hotel via the National Park Headquarters from where we can see a panoromic view of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt.Nupse, Mt. Amabdlam, Mt. Thamserku, Mt. Thauche, Mt. Kyangde etc.
We start our walk to our next destination, Thengboche, which is a 5-6 hours journey. Thengboche is home to the region’s largest monastery, a destination for monks of all ages throughout the country to practice and study Buddhism. The public is invited to witness their puja ceremonies, where they chant prayers and perform rituals inside the ornately decorated gompas.
Following a very early wakeup call, we visit the impressive morning puja in Thengboche Monastery. Breakfast after the puja and start the trek to Pangboche at 3985m which is the highest permanent settlement on the approach to Everest and in the upper village there is a gompa (monastery) founded by the Lama SangeDorje. Pangboche offers great views on what many people consider as the most beautiful mountain peak in the Himalayas, Mount AmaDablam. We continue to walk up to Dingboche (4400m), altogether taking 5-6 hrs.
We spend a day at Dingboche (4400m) to continue our acclimatisation. Those adapting well to the altitude can climb Nangkartshang Peak at 5100m for great views of Chalotse, Tawoche and Mount AmaDablam. Alternatively if you prefer, you can go to Chhukum Valley.
Back on the trek again, the trail from Dingboche ascends, emerging onto the terminal moraine of the Khumbu Glacier from where we have a beautiful panorama of the peaks lying on the Nepal- Tibet border. The trail then eases off as we follow the valley to Lobuche (4900m) a tiny hamlet with a few teahouses. The sunset on Nuptse is not to be missed. Altogether it is a trek of 5-6 hrs from Dingboche to Lobuche.
Another long day and again we leave very early. Trekking across a glacier, the trail winds up and down through a fascinating icy series of land known as Everest Base Camp, where usually in Spring, we may see some of the expedition teams as they prepare to climb the mountain. From the Base Camp we get fantastic close up views of the Khumbu Ice Fall and we can appreciate just how difficult it is to negotiate a route through the huge blocks of ice. We descend from the Base Camp to GorakShep and spend the night here.
Early in the morning we head to Kalapathar. It takes approximately 2 hrs to the top of Kalapathar. It is one of the highest points of our trek from where we can see the view of sun rise and the fascinating view of the mountains (Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nupse, Mt. Pumo Ri,Mt. Makalu etc). Then we head back to GorakShep where after breakfast we continue our trek to Pheriche. It takes altogether 6-7 hrs from Gorakshep to Pheriche.
We start our trek down to Namche Bazaar, taking about 6-7 hrs.
We continue our descent to Lukla after breakfast, which will take approximately 6-7 hrs.
Early in the morning, we return to Kathmandu on a 35 minutes flight (scheduling is subject to weather conditions). Sightseeing is possible in Kathmandu if early return is possible or have a relaxing massage/sauna.
This is the free day for you and you can enjoy yourself around the city. In the evening there will be a Typical Nepali Dinner organized by Himalayan Rock for you in the Typical Nepali restaurant with cultural program.
